Kubi, which means neck, is a Japanese samurai film that features a lot of head-butting.
Written and directed by Takeshi Kitano, the film is based on the historical event of Honnō-ji, which took place in 1582 during the Sengoku period.
The film is set in the 16th century, during which rival warlords are vying for control of Japan.
While Oda Nobunaga, who aims to control all of Japan, is waging war against many clans, one loyalist, Araki Murashigi, rebels and disappears during the defeat.
Nobunaga orders his loyalists, including Kamisuhide and Hideyoshi, to capture the fugitive Murashigi, and announces that anyone who tries will be allowed to succeed him.
Nobunaga’s successors have various ideas, plans, and plans. With traps in place, they soon find themselves in a complex situation.
It remains to be seen what fate awaits Nobunaga’s loyalists at Honnoji Temple, where Nobunaga will arrive.
